University of Central Florida (UCF) เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐบาล ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 1963 เดิมใช้ชื่อว่า Florida Technological University โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อช่วยพัฒนาหน่วยงานด้านอวกาศของสหรัฐอเมริกา(National Aeronautics and Space Administration/ NASA) ในช่วงแรกเน้นการเรียนการสอนในสาขาวิชา Engineering and Technology จากนั้นได้เปลี่ยนชื่อมหาวิทยาลัยเป็น The University of Central Florida ในปี 1978 ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงและเป็นที่รู้จักอย่างแพร่หลาย ติดอันดับ Top-Tier National Ranked และยังเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งเดียวของโลกที่มีห้องแลปใต้ทะเล ปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษาทั้งสิ้นจำนวน 66,183 คน เปิดสอนในหลากหลายหลักสูตร โดยสาขาที่ได้รับความนิยมสูงสุด 5 สาขา คือ Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Biology and Phychology

มหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Orlando รัฐ Florida เป็นเมืองที่รู้จักกันในชื่อ “The City Beautiful” เป็นศูนย์กลางของวิทยาศาสตร์ การพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี การแพทย์ การจัดการด้านบริหารการท่องเที่ยว เป็นมหานครที่มีขนาดใหญ่ติด 1 ใน 30 ของสหรัฐอเมริกา Orlando เป็นที่ตั้งของ Walt Disney World, Universal Studio, SeaWorld และสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอีกมากมาย UCF มี Partner กับบริษัทชั้นนำมามาย นักศึกษาที่นี้จะได้มีโอกาสฝึกงานกับบริษัทชั้นนำอย่าง เช่น Siemens, Boeing, Disney, Lockheed Martin เป็นต้น
