Florida International University (FIU) เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับที่ 4 ของสหรัฐอเมริกา และใหญ่เป็นอันดับที่ 2 ของรัฐฟลอริด้า ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 1972 เปิดสอนในระดับปริญญาตรีและสูงกว่าปริญญาตรีในหลากหลายสาขาวิชา เช่น ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์, วิศวกรรมศาสตร์และคอมพิวเตอร์, ศิลปะและสถาปัตยกรรม, การบริหารธุรกิจ, ศึกษาศาสตร์, กฏหมาย, การแพทย์, การพยาบาลและวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ เป็นต้น โดยสัญ มีสีน้ำเงินและทอง เป็นสีประจำมหาวิทยาลัย ปัจจุบันมีจำนวนนักศึกษากว่า 56,886 คน แบ่งเป็นนักเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรี 48,186 และ ในระดับปริญญาโทจำนวน 8,700 คน มหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ในเมือง Miami รัฐ Florida เป็นแหล่งกำเนิดของบริษัทมากกว่า 1,000 แห่ง ซึ่งได้รับการจัดอันดับให้เป็นศูนย์รวมอุตสาหกรรมด้านการบริการ นอกจากนี้ เมืองนี้ยังเป็นที่ยอมรับเรื่องการจัดงาน 5 วันทางศิลปะและงานวัฒนธรรมประจำชาติต่างๆ ได้แก่ Food Network and Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival โดย FOOD & WINE ซึ่งนักเรียนของ Florida International University มีส่วนในการออกแบบและดำเนินการงานนี้ด้วย

Florida International University เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ขึ้นชื่อในการเรียนการสอนและยังเป็น partnership กับบริษัทชั้นนำของโลกมากมาย เช่น Bank of America, Deloitte, KPMG, Merrill Lynch, PWC, Marriott International, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles และ Unilever เป็นต้น
