University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol แบ่งออกเป็น 5 วิทยาเขต คือ Frenchay Campus, Bower Ashton Campus, Glenside Campus, Hartpury Campus และ Gloucester Campus เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีประวัติยาวนาน ก่อตั้งขึ้นจาก Bristol Society of Merchant Venturer’s Navigation School ในปี 1595 ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในมหาวิทยาลัยที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในภูมิภาค South west ของอังกฤษ จากนั้นในปี 1894 ได้เปลี่ยนมาเป็น Merchant Venturers Technical College โดยวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ถือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการสร้างสรรค์ Bristol College of Science and Technology ในปี 1960 อีกด้วย และได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยในปี 1992

University of the West of England (UWE) มีสาขาวิชาที่โดดเด่น คือ Business, Engineering รถยนต์(ความเร็วสูง), การบิน (Air Bus) และสาขา Robotics สาขาต่างๆเหล่านี้ถูกจัดให้เป็นอันดับ 1 ของประเทศอังกฤษ โดยใช้ห้อง Lab ร่วมกับ University of Bristol ที่ Frenchay Campus ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยมีอุปกรณ์และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกมากมาย ห้องสมุดเปิดให้บริการ 24 ชั่วโมง Business School มีโปรแกรม Bristol Distinguished Executive Address Series เป็นการจัดสัมมนาทางธุรกิจ ซึ่งจะเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนมีโอกาสได้เข้าร่วมฟังคำบรรยายและพูดคุยกับนักธุรกิจในเมือง Bristol และจากเมืองใกล้เคียง ว่านักธุรกิจเหล่านี้เขามีมุมมองความคิดการทำธุรกิจอย่างไร ซึ่งจะเป็นการเปิดโลกกว้างทางธุรกิจให้กับนักเรียน โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายอีกด้วย

UWE ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Bristol ทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ของประเทศอังกฤษ ห่างจากลอนดอนประมาณ 90 นาทีโดยรถไฟ เป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่และได้รับการขนานนามว่าเป็น Green City และ Wealth & Happiness อีกทั้งยังเป็นเมืองในฝันของชาวอังกฤษมากมาย Bristol เป็นเมืองที่มีเศรษฐกิจดีที่สุดใน South West England จึงทำให้อัตราการว่างงานต่ำที่สุด และทำให้ University of the West of England (UWE) เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยอันดับที่ 7 ในประเทศอังกฤษที่นัเรียนได้รับการจ้างงานหลังจากเรียนจบภายใน 6 เดือน เมืองนี้เป็นเมืองที่ชื่นชอบของนักเรียนเพราะเป็นเมืองที่ไม่เงียบเหงา มีการจัด Festival ตลอดทั้งปี รวมไปถึง Balloon Festival ที่สวยงาม Bristol เป็นเมืองที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับสองรองลงมาจากลอนดอนและเป็นที่ตั้งขององค์กรที่สำคัญๆ อย่างเช่น Ministry of Defense
